Year (Decade) in Review

Who was i then? A 10 year old 5th grader playing basketball like a machine. Listening to wierd music. Mostly Zeppelin, AC/DC, old rock, Green Day, Snoop Dogg, Dr. Dre.
Hmm... in the year 2000 i lived in Del Mar behind Robertos. I remember leaving my house with $1.07 because that was the total of a bean and cheese with tax.
In 2001, I moved from the DM to the Murr.... or Murrieta,CA, exactly 62 miles due North Inland.
2001-2006: Went to Middle school and two years of high school at MV and in the process fucked up shit, fucked up people's shit, got into underground hip hop, acted a gangster, made shitty little skate videos and ran from cops. Talk to anyone who lives there and they did the saaaaaame shit. But also playing a lot of golf, a lot of tennis, and surfed whenever i could. Visited CR 3 summers in a row.
2007: Moved back to olde Del Mar and started middle of Junior Year at TP. Moving middle of high school fucking sucks but its better to move back to the beach. Basically spent the rest of the year trying not to be a total loaner at school and surfing everyday cuz i lived a block from the water. Too bad DM surf blows. Cousin Chellems moves into the cave downstairs from Florida. Went to hawaii in winter '06 for first time in 10 years and started videoing surfing at pipe. learned aloha.
2008: Purchase a fat fucking camera that i still have now cuz i thought i was badass with filming at the beginning of the year. Go through school cruising and makin fun short films for film class. (the only class i gave a shit in.) Graduate. hang around. surf. dont start college. get money, went to Hawaii again in winter but this time for a month. Filmed a shit ton from Haleiwa to Sunset.
2009:
January: Made it home in time for New Years.
February: look for jobs. Thinking to myself im blowing it.
March: Got hooked up with an internship locally.
April: Work and learn how to better shoot surfing and video/edit in general
May: Go to South Africa to surf J-Bay. sit around in Florida.
June: Sit around in Florida. have fun with family
July: Hang out in the sun, film, meet Jack McCoy and Derek Hynd. Get footy on Surfline.
August: Full Force with Korduroy.tv
September: Film/WOW week in SLO
October: Film/Surf
November: Film/Surf/Fat California Road Trip 1500+ miles in 4 days. SD-SB/SB-SLO/SLO-SF-Bay Area/Bay Area-Sierra Summit-SLO-SB/SB-SD
December: Film/Surf/Go to motherfucking Whistler
Who am i now? 2 years outta high school, Career changing/opening, surf videographer/editor, world traveler, don't know how well i have it, cruiser. Music is even more broad and wierder. after the hip-hop/rap influence of murr, got back to SD and into Hardcore/Metalcore, went to shows, got over that. stayed indie. techno. Now only Hip-hop/rap greats of the 90's early 2000's, no new rap crap. No metal, Australian/English/French good Indie bands. Loads of Electronic and ranging from tech to rave to house, watever is good.
TIME TO GET A REAL LIFE!!! ;)
